Checkout Time –Checkout time for the Chalet, Pines, Lakewood, Oaks and #24 (due to size) is 10:00 a.m. Checkout time for all others is 11:00 a.m.
Laundry – The laundry room is located near the playground. Our coin-operated machines are available for your use after 4:30 p.m.
Towels & Linens – There are towels provided for each guest in your cabin. If you would like to exchange your soiled towels during your stay, please bring them to the laundry room between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Towels are provided for your personal hygiene and are meant for use inside your cabin only. Please do not use our towels for dirty jobs such as fish cleaning or wiping down skis. Rags are available in the office for these uses.
Cabin Items – We do our best to maintain a proper inventory in your cabin, but if you need something please let us know.
Wood, etc. – Wood is provided in bins near your cabin. Wood may be burned in indoor fireplaces only. Kindling is available for purchase in the office.
Recreation Hall – We have two recreation halls: one located by the office; the other located behind the Shores. We ask that you please take care of all the equipment and the facilities so everyone may enjoy them. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Spas & Sauna – We have two spa rooms: one located by the office (with a sauna); the other located behind the Shores. The spa room by the office is open after 4:00 p.m. The other spa room opens at noon. Adults only, PLEASE.
Pets – We welcome pets, but please observe the common courtesy rules outlined in our pet policy.
Boats – Boats are available for $2.00 an hour or $10.00 per 24-hour period. You must be 18 years of age to rent a boat, and you must have a person at least 18 years of age in the boat at all times. If you plan to use a boat first thing in the morning, please rent it the night before. We have two boathouses to store oars, cushions, and life jackets. On the office side of the property, the boathouse is located on the rectangular dock by Cabin #20. The boathouse on the other side is located under the porch of the Pines and Shores. Please leave your boat in the same condition you found it: remove any trash when you dock your boat. Please use the boathouses in order to keep the equipment in good shape for other guests. We do our best to maintain boat equipment, but it wears out rapidly. One thing that helps to maintain the oars’ condition is to only put them in the water when you are rowing. If you set them in the boat when they are not is use, they will last a lot longer. All boats must be returned to the docks each evening by dark.
Fishing – Fishing is FREE to our guests. No state license is required. TROUT fishing is best in the early spring through May and from mid-September through November. With around 9,000 trout stocked each year, there is plenty to go around. BASS fishing is best mid-April through mid-September. PLEASE release any fish less than 10 inches long. BLUE GILLS and CATFISH are quite plentiful. Blue Gill fishing is an excellent way for the kids to pass the time. We have a limited amount of fishing poles, which may be rented for $5.00 per day. Hooks, sinkers, bait (worms and Power Bait) may also be purchased.
Swimming –Swimming is NOT allowed in the lake at any time.
Playground – There is a full-size “park type” playground constructed of heavy timber available for children ages 2 to 12. It’s a great place to keep the little ones busy for hours.
Shuffleboard & Horseshoe Pit – Known for some pretty heated games, the equipment is available in the Rec Hall.
Ice – Walking on the ice is strictly prohibited. The ice never gets very thick and the lake has natural springs that create thin spots. In addition, we have two aerators that help keep the ice from forming.
Fires – Charcoal fires are allowed in barbecues only. There are times during the year when we are under red flag warnings that prohibit open fires even in barbecues. Please check with the office if you are not sure. If we are under a red flag warning, we do have some gas grills available. Please arrange for them early in the day.
Restaurants – There are good restaurants in town. Please check with us for recommendations and menus.
Activities – There are also a lot of different activities available to guests in the area. We can assist you in the office, but you may want to check with the Forest Service and the Chamber of Commerce for additional information.
Children – We enjoy having families and children stay with us, but please don’t leave small children unattended in the Rec Hall, the playground, in boats and, most of all, the Spa rooms.
Refrigerator – Just a note about refrigerators: they are set at their best level. Turning up the controls often will not help. Please be patient.
Enjoy – The most important thing is that you enjoy your stay. We work hard to make things nice for our guests, but there are things that happen. Please let us know when you have a problem so that we can hopefully resolve it for you.
